Preheat oven to 400°F. Holding a sharp knife at an angle, cut each roll into 3-inch slices.

Put the soy margarine in a bowl and beat in the garlic and herbs. Spread the above mixture thickly on each slice of roll.

Reassemble each submarine roll again and place on foil.  Wrap the foil up over the submarine roll; place on a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Serves 2
